P1A it's so great to be chatting here with you today. To begin, can you introduce yourself to our community? Your name, where you are from and the mediums you work in?

Hello Dave it’s amazing to be here doing this interview with you! I am Pia, based in Istanbul! I studied different mediums since fine arts high-school , post-conceptual art in the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and then Stage and Costume Design with Puppetry at Istanbul.

I am an artist working with everything from installations, to models, to digital illustrations, and professionally I am working in the film industry as a set decorator and costume designer!

Really love your work, its so unique and it is such a distinctive blend of styles- I can see all those influences colliding here. Can you share a bit about your early creative life? When did you know you wanted to explore the creative side of life?

Thank you so much, Dave! I see the life as a form of dance between very thin lines in a majestic balance, in abstract melodies and harmonies...

I was always looking for more to express who I was and how I see the world since I was a child.

My first realization happened when I was just ten years old, thanks to my arts teacher, she was able to shape my life in an unpredictable way just by encouraging my family to see and be open about my talent and interest in art and creative activities.

By the age of fifteen, I knew I had to pursue my life as an artist so I applied to for arts high school and got the chance to study after passing challenging drawing exams. By that age I knew my life would be fueled with nothing but creativity.

Love to hear that you were able to have a system of support for your creativity so early. It’s so essential to have people believe in what we do.

How did you discover the web3 space and what has your experience been like so far in this community?

It all started when I minted some of the works I had already finished on OpenSea to give it a go, which lead to an artwork named “yang and yang” which was featured on their IG and Twitter page - until a day or before this feature I had no idea everything was happening on Twitter! – so I am an pure IG incomer to the space, but I will never forget how fast I made friends.

I remember the first space that I had the courage to talk (I know how hard it is!) and I remember how friendly and welcoming people were, willing to hear my story of who I am. I started discovering more and more people through my spaces and circles of people I become close with, and that lead to another and another.

I made incredble friendships on this journey which is almost a year and an half old already! I’ve tasted many feelings since the very first second and it just means so much to me how beautifully we can connect with each other- no matter where we are from. If I could use just one word; I would say it’s very uniting. What’s uniting is something so powerful…not even mentioning the mind blowing experience of being an active artist, I can easily say the solidarity between artists will always blow my mind.

Beautiful. I agree wholeheartedly with so much of what you said here. Where can the readers find your work? What various projects are out there and can you describe them alongside links here?

Thank you Dave for the amazing questions, it was a pleasure to answer and talk about the subjects! Let me share my links:

My 1/1’s; are on SuperRare and Foundation and Ninfa

My Editions on OpenSea and Foundation

And connect with me across the internet on LynkFire

One more question- do you have any advice for creatives that are earlier on their path?

So much to say really, I can humbly suggest that any success always starts from believing in yourself and not losing the feeling of chasing inspiration no matter how dark or bright it can be, being open to feeling and feeding through this journey we are all sharing, I may say. Remember to be respectful to the other members who are walking this path with you, from mind to action the process always starts from the soul, be inspired and enjoy the ride. (oh and use a ledger and always do your research).

What a wonderful sentiment and fantastic advice, not just for creatives but for humanity in general. P1A, a true pleasure getting to know you and learning more about the motives behind the beautiful work you create. Wishing you all the success in the world and I look forward to watching you thrive!
