Today I have a feature for you of one of my favorite artists, Ness Graphics, who has a drop tonight on Nifty Gateway. The work is astounding and I can't wait to see these auctions and drawings unfold.
Make sure to check it out beginning at 6:30 EST.
Can you share the name you go by, where you are based and the mediums you work in?
Nessgraphics, Greater NYC Area, Digital.
I love how intricate and detailed your works are. We can get into that in a bit, but let’s start with your upcoming drop on Nifty Gateway. What are you bringing to the table for collectors for this particular set of works? And what are the details in terms of timing and drop mechanics?
This drop will have 4 pieces, three of which will be will be drawings. There will be 1 single edition auction. I won't be releasing an open edition in order to keep my artwork scarce. Also I will be doing a split drawing on my piece titled 'H0M3BAS3 v.02'
There will be 15/25 held for current holders of 'H0M3BAS3' and 10/25 open for anyone to enter into the drawing. This is allowing current collect to have a chance to receive the new artwork with much better odds, but not simply gifting it to them either!

Awesome. I love how much thought you’ve put into the mechanics- an oft overlooked but essential component of success in this space.
Can you describe more about the world this pieces exist in? Everything I’ve seen from you is so cohesive. What is the narrative universe in which these pieces live?
These pieces live within the storyline of my 'N3URAL1NK' series, which is a dystopian cyberpunk universe where we follow multiple groups/teams to harness & understand the power of "N3URAl1NK."
This story is essentially my way of painting the other side of current events regarding Elon Musk's real technology called NeuraLink and the possible outcomes if things were to go wrong. I'm always horrible with explaining this part of it, would love to work with an author to better explain my storyline!

Perhaps Out of everyone in the space, your attention to detail, and inclusion of Easter eggs and subtle references are the deepest and add a tremendous amount of story and tie these pieces to a historic timeline. What’s your reasoning for this and how to approach ideas about what to include?
All of the art I make takes time, a minimum of 4-5 days per piece just to get them into a place I'm somewhat happy with, and could take upwards of 2-3 weeks if I want to go absolutely crazy with the details.
I find a lot of joy in adding the smallest details that many people will never see or be able to make out in the finished piece, but that doesn't matter to me. When I create art, I am creating it for myself and no one else, I include easter eggs of my personal life, names of friends and collectors, jokes, etc, I just want to have a fun time while making my art and this is how I do so!

It’s also smart because each piece is packed with so much that people (myself included) spend more time pouring over the details, in an age where people scroll past art at the speed of light.
Lastly- was creativity encouraged in your life or did you have to swim upstream against a current? And what advice would you have for a creative who is earlier in their journey?
Creativity was heavily encouraged in my life, my father is an architect and my sister is a fine arts oil painter, if anything my parents would have been disappointed if I didn't end up an artist!
Number one piece of advice to any creatives in the NFT space, or looking to get into the NFT space is to keep your scarcity, don't treat NFTs like Instagram and post new artwork daily. Think long term and don't let any short term gains get in the way of your long term goals!

Ness, it's been a pleasure hearing more about your Nifty Gateway drop and the thoughts behind your creative process. Wishing you all the success in this space in the future.
